William C. Rudin
William C. Rudin joined the family real estate business in 1979 and currently serves as Co-Executive Chairman of Rudin. He was appointed President of the company in December 1993. Founded by his grandfather, Samuel Rudin, in 1925, Rudin has become one of New York City’s most established family-owned real estate firms.
Bill has closely collaborated with his family and the company’s professional leadership team to oversee and manage the Rudin portfolio. For over five decades, he has been directly involved in every major Rudin development, including 560 Lexington Avenue, 40 East 52nd Street, 1675 Broadway, 3 Times Square, and 32 Avenue of the Americas. His leadership has concentrated on new developments, reinvesting in and repositioning existing properties, advancing technology-driven buildings, and contributing to the revitalization of Lower Manhattan, including the creation of the city’s first completely wired office building at 55 Broad Street in the mid-90s.
Continuing the Rudin family’s tradition of hands-on management and civic engagement, Bill is actively involved in New York City’s business, political, and philanthropic communities. He serves on the board of The Association for a Better New York (ABNY), an organization co-founded by his father. He has held leadership positions, including Chairman of The Real Estate Board of New York, The Real Estate Roundtable, and The Battery Conservancy. He currently serves on the boards of The Partnership for New York City, New York University, and The New York Center for Autism. Bill was also a former board member of The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University’s School of Business and Public Administration.
