Ray Houseknecht joined Rudin in October of 2020. He serves as the company’s Executive Vice President, Head of Operations and Residential, overseeing the residential portfolio consisting of 20 Manhattan-based assets. As the Head of Operations, Ray plays a critical role in aligning operational execution across the organization and supporting the Co-CEOs and President in advancing the company’s vision and long-term business strategy.   

As the Head of Residential, Ray leads the strategy, operations, and performance of the residential division, overseeing all aspects of capital investment, leasing, facilities management, and engineering. He drives growth, operational excellence, and profitability in partnership with Asset Management, while ensuring that the performance and repositioning of the company’s residential assets align with its broader strategic goals and the Rudin brand.  

Before coming to Rudin, Ray acted as Global Head of Asset Management and Operations at WeLive by WeWork. Prior to that role, he served as Senior Portfolio Director with AvalonBay Communities. Ray graduated from Loyola College in Baltimore with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
